I'm not sure what the exact criteria is but I'm finding $3k CAD available for a bunch of dates with 7 day stays - no shorter stays seem to come up that cheap. (YVR-JNB). Can't find any cheap ones to CPT though, all $1000 more.

that part is easily explainable:

"Category 6: Minimum stay requirements
TRAVEL FROM INBOUND TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR MUST COMMENCE NO
EARLIER THAN 7 DAYS AFTER DEPARTURE OF THE OUTBOUND
TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR."

Has to be at least a 7-day stay

That is just one stopover though (in MRU). Any luck getting both MRU and JNB/CPT as stopovers with the 2 stop policy?

YVR-CPT

Booked a YVR-CPT trip for Thanksgiving for $2350 - Z Fare... sadly in "old" AF business both ways. (And though I live in LA, I'll take a quick flight up to YVR for this fare)

I can get the CAD$2800 price YYZ-JNB or CPT. MRU was over $3000.

Am definitely tempted. But will have to pass, I'm afraid. Thanks to the OP regardless.

Just curious, KLM out of YYZ is a A330 now with old Biz seats? Glad I got to try the 747-400 while it operated this route earlier in the year. Looks like the 777 to JNB is the new WBC seat, though.

I just booked YYZ-AMS-SIN round trip and the YYZ-AMS-YYZ segments are on the 747-400. The other two are 777-200 and 777-300. Now I have to figure out whether I want to keep this ticket over the next 24 hrs.

Price was C$2987.

I guess they rotate it seasonally? Last few times I've seen the KLM plane at YYZ it's been the A330. And the fares I priced out on KLM.ca listed a A330.

That's a pretty good price. But I'd want to check what kind of seat is on the AMS-SIN leg. If it's not the new business class seat it could be less attractive. But then again, if you don't have anything better to do....why not?

Checked them on Seat Guru. They are all 180 deg lay flat seats, so hoping that should be OK.

Or better yet, if AA/CX/BA matched those flights I'd be ecstatic. I mean.... I'll take AC/LX too, but.. yeah :P

If booked to JNB through AMS, seatguru is showing the seats as angled beds. Also, SG is showing the AF flights as angled. That's the deal breaker for me. Love the price but not when its on angled flat beds.

Also, the trip can be booked on Delta for $2100 total RT and you can book the trip for a minimum of 5 days.

One can book this on OW, mainly with BA, for about 400-500 USD more. Still very reasonable.

plenty of avail. on *A. This fare is nothing special, it is around most of the year, in fact it was cheaper a couple of months ago.
