JJ Business: NYC-SCL $1035 r/t

A great J fare to SCL. I am seeing dates in Aug and Sept. Bookable on TAM's website.

For example:

8/14/15 JJ8079 JFK-GIG 20:30-07:34 (+1)
8/15/15 JJ8074 GIG-SCL 10:58-13:38

8/17/15 JJ8021 SCL-GIG 13:44-17:49
8/17/15 JJ8078 GIG-JFK 22:20-07:30 (+1)

13,224 miles

Great fare. Also available on the AA 77W via GRU!

Very nice. Thanks for posting. If JFK-SCL works, MCO-SCL should as well...

All JJ coded, though seems to be more widely available using the JJ codeshare on AA metal.

And just to note, price isn't available to IPC. I checked.

Also, one free stopover available.

hoping for a west coast origin with star alliance! The Andes are starting to get some snowfall, despite a lackluster start.

Routing of JFK-GRU looks to be on TAM's 777-300, not AA's. Unless I'm missing something.

Do a multi-city booking and the AA flights come up. Long connections in GRU and slightly less miles, but the AA 77W and LA 789 are better than JJ 763 and 320.

I am wondering--if GIG/GRU-SCL is booked on LAN metal with a LAN fl#, as opposed to JJ, AA elites would get bonus RDMs (25%/100%) on top of the COS bonus, right?

Btw, it looks like using a multi-city search on LAN's website produces a lot more options than on TAM's website.

A simple round trip search on the ITA mobile app pulled it up straight away for me. Ideal 3h50 connection in GRU on the outbound (JJ8405, JJ8032) but yes much longer inbound.

Tried booking this tonight but when I click from Google Flights (which quotes at the $1K price) to the TAM site, it says no matching trip found. It does offer flights for the same fare, but they are TAM flights, and don't correspond to the AA flights listed on Google Flights.

Example:

https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...=ONEWORLD;eo=e

Tried this on a few different combination for dates 8/21 out and 8/23 return, and 9/11 out and 9/13 return, same behavior.

I was looking to book a Fri night departure, and I don't think JJ8032 operates on Sat. So I was looking at almost 8 hours in GRU *shudder* On the flip side, for the return, I was able to find LA 752/JJ 8404 on Mon that would be a reasonable 4 hour connection. I ended up going through GIG on AA's renovated 763 for the outbound and GRU on the inbound.

Yeah, I could not get the AA flights through Google Flights. Rather, I used the multi city search on TAM's website. Better yet, LAN's website offers a bunch of options (not all are actually valid connections).
