Hello!

This is a very first time I am going to book a mileage run like that - got my trip planned - how do I book those tickets now? It's not bookable via ba.com - my itinerary involves two CX segments where ba.com suggests flights with connection in London. My trip is:

FRA ✈ LCY
LHR ✈ BKK
BKK ✈ HKG
HKG ✈ SIN
SIN ✈ LHR
LCY ✈ FRA

Many thanks!

Huh, ITA is now giving me option of routing via PEK (BJS) - hadn't really noticed / registered from skunker's post. Am rather crazily debating whether I should take the final leg of a trip in a couple of weeks, stay overnight in DUS and come back the next morning on the first leg of another trip! Taking advantage of a visa-free stopover in PEK could be interesting (Forbidden City was closed last time I was there...)

Decisions, decisions

Hmmm...

I actually have to be in Munich for work in January.

I really do not like BA so is there any codeshares with other airline?

I have done the free visa stopover several times. It in itself can be an interesting experience.

The first time I did it now official in passport control at PEK seemed to be aware of the concept. I was sent to two different lines and then finally to a large desk behind the lines. My passport and boarding pass were taken from me and I was told to wait in a seat on the air side of passport control. After over thirty minutes an AA agent (who spoke only a little more English than the passport control staff showed up and asked me for my passport and boarding pass. After talking to the passport control staff he then wandered of. About thirty minutes later I was given my passport etc back and waved through.

The next time, on Malaysian air I came into a different terminal. This time there was a clearly sign posted line for 48 hour visas... in less than five minutes my passport was stamped and I was on my way...
