[PREM FARE GONE] EY NRT-AUH(s/o)-CMB r/t F for ~$1550 [Z NOT F]

Just booked this for next April with a 3 day stopover at AUH for $1550 via Chase UR travel booking. Search multi-city for Y, filtered results to J, at which point results said "Business unavailable - First." Confirmation email also says First for each flight (even though AUH-CMB is A320). Let the games begin to see if it is honored.

Available all dates I searched for next January to April. No other OTA was able to replicate.

Well, this "error" has popped up with the EY business class fares in Z class plenty of times during the past couple of months as evidenced here on the board.

It usually has been a display error with the respective OTA, and not a true First Class booking.

You most likely only got a Business Class ticket...

I hate to burst your bubble and I hope Chase actually gives you a first class ticket but this is a Z fare (business). The true first fare is an additional $2200 each way.

I believe so, especially as NRT-AUH r/t alone in J is >$6000.

In Etihad's own site can replicate such fare with a bit more expensive.

Just tried doing a multi-city booking on EY.com in Business, and prices it out at about 2x what the OP Posted. Can you PM me (or post in this thread) the sample dates you used for the search?

The new "one post per fare" structure has really improved the velocity in this deal making it out to web logs, although unfortunately the blog post does not include the helpful FlyerTalk discussion about the OTA misunderstanding what "Z" means.

They don't care; its all about web traffic!

By the way, I believe the OP is the blogger. He won't be flying first.
