Stupid morons like Kip just can't stop wasting funds quickly enough. This brainless prat should be fixing the hundreds of ETPs he already owns.

Does the "30" in this story refer to a quantity of "millimeter wave" machines or does the "30" refer to "30 millimeter" wave machines? Are we wasting money on 30 machines or some unknown quantity (part of "hundreds" referenced in the story)?

And what an avalanche of nonsense:
Millimeter wave, a form of whole body imaging technology, is currently in use at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Since its introduction there, more than 90 percent of passengers have elected to undergo screening with this technology instead of being subjected to a pat-down.

It was suggested that pictures of scans, front and rear, be posted as one is making one's choice of whether to go through the machine or have a pat down, so that an informed decision can be made.

Call it an educated guess.
What do you do when you get a new 'toy'? My guess is you use it.
(By the way, most TSA'ers who post here "hate the patdowns as much as we do" which makes it more likely that TSO's are 'encouraging' the use of the machine.)
