Basic US passport question for Sweden
I am embarrassed to tell you I just realized my US passport will expire just under 5 months from my entry date to Sweden from Newark, NJ airport via SAS. Our trip is only 10 days with already-booked departure flights. I leave in 10 days!
The guidance I have found online is frustratingly vague. Some State Dep't sites say that it is "recommended" to have 6 months validity while other pages say it is required. Other pages allude to airlines refusing passengers boarding on the plane without certain remaining validity.
Does anyone have any guidance on this? Thank you very much!
