Passport and new IRS Laws
Hi everyone, I am new here and just applied for my first passport. Taking the family on a European vacation. I have been told that the IRS can prevent issue of a passport of there is a debt, or rather in my case, a questionable debt due to an audit that was just started. Anyone had this happen to them? Thank you in advance for time!!!

- The bill was only signed into law in December (so it's highly unlikely that anyone has gotten their act together to implement it yet)
- It only applies to people who have an outstanding debt of over $50k and are not making payments.
- Current investigations don't count
