and the wiki above says top 20 airports, but lax isn't even listed. I thought lax was number 1 or 2 for international arrivals.

Yeah I was just wondering if there was an official list anywhere rather than just Flyertalk. Perhaps a CBP site?

Does anyone know if they will be implementing this at Canadian airports with pre-clearance?

IMHO probably not.
Most frequent trans-boarder flyers are NEXUS/GE already. I can't see the once a year vacationing family downloading the app, enter all the info and getting web access to get the scanning codes. Scanning the passport the kiosk is faster than entering all the information manually.

I use the app when I need to enter the US from Asia or EU with the family when my Nexus/GE doesn't help the rest of them.

Possibly due to the multiple entry points for international flights and having to equip all of them? (TBIT, T2, T5, T7) (Yes I see JFK has it but still)

I had the same experience using the app the first time last week (LHR-DFW). I was surprised that my first human contact was after baggage claim. I was out of there in about 10 mins after deplaning (hand luggage only).

Any recent experience using the MPC app in EWR? Reading previous posts, the dedicated lanes were only for immigration and not customs. Has that changed now?

When I've used MPC at EWR, it's been both ways and not always consistent over time. I've not used MPC at EWR this quarter, so don't know what the flavor of the moment is there with regard to this.

PHX is live.

SAN is not live with this yet, but SAN should be live later this spring or sometime this summer at the very latest.

Does MPC have a question about "food" or does it use the more restrictive list of specific food products? If the former, then I see no advantage for MPC over using GE...

It's declaration form related to food/Ag does not use the "food" catch-all word.

Even absent this difference at times, MPC sometimes has advantages over GE.
