Where can eligible travelers use MPC?
CBP uses the Mobile Passport Control (MPC) application to streamline the processing of eligible travelers entering the United States. Eligible travelers with a smartphone or tablet may voluntarily download the Mobile Passport Control (MPC)-enabled mobile application (app) from a mobile application store (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
The MPC mobile app, is available to U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, Canadian B1/B2 citizen visitors and returning Visa Waiver Program travelers with approved ESTA.
MPC is currently available at the following 48 sites, including 33 U.S. International Airports, 11 Preclearance locations, and 4 seaports of entry:

Hi,
Just stumbled across the Mobile Passport App option. Will fly back from London into EWR in a month so it might be helpful.
1) it seems to be US citizens (and some Canadians) as I'm German I can't use it
2) but my wife and niece are US citizen and could use
So I would use my Global entry and filling out the customs form while my wife uses the app to get a code for herself and my niece filling out another customs form (assuming both methods need their own form to be processed). After immigration we meet get the luggage and they hand in their customs card I will hand in my form.
Is that correct?
BTW hhow are the lines / traffic at the Mobile Passport counters in EWR usually

EWR MPC works very quickly for me still -- faster than GE@EWR for my travel party members. But that's when it's staffed.

Just be aware that if you and your relatives are collectively carrying $10,000 or more in cash or near equivalent, then make all your declarations with that in mind. The travel party members may be jointly and severally liable for any customs/declaration violations. For most people, this won't be a problem; but some people have gotten tripped up over this, with GE and MPC not providing a proverbial "get out of jail free" card.

I tried using it at EWR on Monday, but I couldn't find the wifi network to connect to in order to upload my data. What should I have been looking for?
In the Terminal B arrivals, as soon as you walk off the plane, there is a place where the says to upload your MPC data here. Will any wifi or cellular network work?

I foolishly forgot to switch back to my T-Mobile SIM while on the in-bound flight, and I didn't want to bother trying to swap cards in the hallway. Global Entry had no lines, and it was just as easy*.
* - lesson learned: when traveling as a family, make sure everyone is out of sight of the camera after each receipt is printed. The kiosk won't let you process another passport until it sees no one standing in front of the kiosk. The only bummer is that we had to declare food since it's asked on the GE kiosk and not on the app.

LAX has just recently installed a dedicated wifi network in the immigration processing zone so that people can upload their mobile passport information. I uploaded mine via my cellular network before I exited the plane. ^

Has anyone tried this recently in ATL? Just look for a sign that says "Mobile Passport Control"? I've read a few stories about contractors not knowing what this is and wanting to send you to the regular line. I guess you have to be ultra persuasive and convince employees that this really does exist?
Also... my flight into ATL may go to the E or F terminal/concourse. Anyone know if Mobile Passport is available for *both* of those terminals?
