At D/FW Airport, the opt-out tactic might be blunted by the fact that only a handful of the 15 TSA security checkpoints have the full-body scanners. Five of the machines are at three checkpoints in Terminal D, and three other machines are in Terminal C, said TSA spokesman Luis Casanova.
By December, D/FW will add seven more machines spread among its checkpoints. Dallas Love Field has none currently but will have them eventually, Casanova said.
Does anyone know the details of the C checkpoints? Is it one machine per checkpoint in C? Or is there still a safe checkpoint in that terminal?

This is what's written by DTW: "Used @ (DL) McNamara Terminal - Primary at the N. Terminal C/P (AA, CO, LH, UA, US, WN). Installed next to each WTMD - Used for incoming INTL pax - MMW"
Can somebody explain what this means? I get that it means the millimeter wave NoS are used at the Delta McNamara Terminal, but what does "primary" mean for the North Terminal checkpoint? It also says they're used for incoming international passengers...does that mean ONLY used for these folks, or that it's used for both? Sorry, this is a bit confusing to this newbie who is flying out of DTW in 32 days :-\
Any updates on IAH Term A? List is showing only units in B, C and E.
Not flying my usual carrier and it appears I will be departing ex-A on a 6AM Sunday outbound. Just trying to gauge whether I need to be planning extra time for my opt-out...none of the Cont PC's really open early enough for me to justify checking in at C or E and taking the tram over to A.
Never mind the porno scanners, don't believe what they tell you as being low radiation. I went through one the other day, and boy did I feel nauseated afterwards. Signs of radiation poisoning. No thanks.
At least in Canada, our security are nicer about it...!

Answering my own question - I had to g to the airport today, so I left early and took a walk thru all of C. Each of the three checkpoints now has one Backscatter NoS and one WTMD. (This afternoon, all the backscatters were roped off and the WTMD's were being used).
None of the checkpoints at C are NoS safe any more. All the terminals at DFW are conencted airside, so avoid the NoS by clearing security at A or E.

I believe that it would mean that every checkpoint at the North Terminal has a NoS. Not sure as I have never been through that terminal. The McNamara (Delta) terminal had one on the parking bridge level, on the right side. The left side was a WTMD. Upstairs on the ticketing level, both checkpoints were NOS free - that was as of October 31.

I walked all terminals on Thursday, 11/18. D has them at all 3 checkpoints. C has them at all 3 checkpoints, but they were not being used. A,B, and E were metal only. Very easy to use SkyLink to get from one terminal to another, 5 minutes at the most.
IAH Terminal A has NoS but won't be operational for another week or so. The other good thing in IAH is the terminal link now connects all the terminals!
They've had them for about a month. The Pax in front of me asked about it and what the big deal was. She explained the pat down in a very simple manner and then mentioned the patdown would have caught the underwear bomber.

We usually fly out of MSY when we travel, we got lucky for our trip to Florida in 2 weeks, it was actually cheaper out of BTR. This makes me even happier!
Has anyone been through RSW lately? That's where we're headed.
