I would truly love to offend those who do not understand what the Nude-O-Scope really does although probably would not be wise.

By the way, this is an actual image taken from a Rapiscan Secure 1000 in London in 2006 at a trade fair of a Mr. John Wild. He has given his specific permission to distribute to educate people about this technology. We can assume that the image quality has improved in 4 years time. It's nice that they blur the face!^

As materials are developed, they should be placed somewhere on the internet where anyone can access them.
Many of us can reach a lot of people simply by leaving them behind as we travel. My wife & I can leave one behind in a couple magazines on every flight we take. If we sit down for any reason anywhere in an airport, leave one on the chair when you get up. If you set your briefcase or laptop bag on a shelf in a restroom, leave some materials behind when you pick it up, etc.
Better yet, leave two copies, and at the top print "Please read this & pass it on to two friends". The material should always contain a web site reference so the beneficiary can get more materials & information.
I can provide hosting space but I already have so many distractions that I might not be a reliable webmaster for this.
A few airports (e.g. SFO & MSP) have "free-speech booths" that never seem to be occupied. Those spaces can be put to good use.
Somewhat later: In Googling for info on airport free-speech booths, I found this regarding free-speech booths at STL:

Supreme Court affirming similar rules issued by the New York Port Authority. Those rules were directed at regulating random proselytizing, distributing literature and the solicitation of funds throughout its airport terminals from passengers and others in the terminals. The decision held that airport terminals, unlike other publicly owned gathering places, are not public forums for purposes of the exercise of general free speech activities under the First Amendment. However, the owners of airport terminals are to provide some limited, reasonable access to the public for the exercise of these kinds of free speech activities. The Airport’s Rules, which were modeled after the Port Authority rules on this subject, were legally challenged and found by the Missouri Court of Appeals in 1994 to meet constitutional standards.
It would appear there is a broader requirement for airports to provide such spaces.

BDL is installing the strip search machines now. I've been thinking that it might be effective to print up a half page flyer with the title:

*No one should need to see you naked to fly
*No one should be exposed to excessive x-rays without a medical reason
*These machines can not detect explosives, and haven't been proven to making flying anymore secure.
I'm sure someone could come up with better text, but if you had a half page flyer that you could handout to anyone and everyone as they cue up for the ID check, I'm sure by day two you could get a local TV channel to come down and do a story, once you get a little press coverage - especially if we managed to get two or three stations around the country the same day, we could get to the point that a national broadcast picks up the story.

Another Civil Disobedience Idea
I like the brainstorming I'm seeing here. I'm pretty sure handing out flyers at airports wouldn't be allowed, because nobody else is doing it. If it was allowed you'd be getting sales pitches from anyone and everyone and people would be going all Ted Striker.
But nothing says you can't place a Craig's list ad for $8/hour or so and hire a few people to hand out flyers at places where you will hit the target demographic. Might be blanketing cars at a hotel, on the Strip in Vegas (they can compete with porn distributors), etc. Just an idea.
It would be difficult to pull off, but another way to practice some civil disobedience is for FT's to coordinate some of their flights and attack the NOS's with mass opt-outs. I'm not a very active participant here, but I have read about FT members having get togethers (DO's?). If a few dozen FT's who had to fly anyway could blast a security checkpoint at rush hour and all request opt-outs it might get some attention (and certainly annoy some TSO's, which in itself would be worthwhile).
But I'm not too optimistic. The once or twice a year flying public is who needs to be convinced, and they are likely to accept all this as a necessary inconvenience that keeps them "safe." It's me that will have to deal with getting my package felt up 2X a week.
