Hey, could you please tell me how you were able to escalate? I can't seem to find any information on how to escalate from the DHS website.

Eventually you'll connect to a person who will create a ticket, and you'll get an email with a case number. Can't do anything with that number though. Current quoted resolution times for escalations are 3-8 weeks.
In response to the comment right above me. Just had to scroll up a little.

BTW, I am at day 118. Applied May 11, 2019. No hurry to escalate since no imminent travel. Let me see how it plays out. Maybe next week?

Alright, finally all wrapped up. Start to finish, just under a month:

CA: 8/14
(Lots of daily checking for appointments to open up at CLT since they were booked through end of year... finally found some open)
Interview: 9/6 @ 7:00PM
Approval: 7:40PM

I would not bother to escalate until after 130 days. Current turnaround for the long path seems to be about 121 days +/- a couple of days based on posts here on FT. Do post back with your response days.

121 days exactly for me and my wife.

What is the interview process like, and what do I need to bring?

Passport and current driver's license (or perhaps some other proof of current residence).

My interview... I signed in at 6:55 and was on my way out by 7:03.
  • "So what do ya do for work?"
  • "Going to be doing some international travel?"
  • "Any jail time? Previous history of customs law infringements?"
  • "Alright let me take your picture here real quick... and now your fingerprints..."
  • "Got any questions about Global Entry?"
  • "Alright, soon as your fingerprints come back, so long as there's no issues I'll go ahead and approve ya. Have a nice day."

Exclamation Moderator's Note: Topic Drift

Folks,

While some natural deviation from the topic of the thread is perfectly acceptable, for indexing and future search purposes please let's keep the focus of the discussion on processing timelines of first time Global Entry applications (FlyerTalk Rule 5 - Stay On Topic).

If you wish to discuss which documents are necessary to be brought to the enrollment interview or what questions are asked, please refer to the following threads:

Applied: 5/7
CA: 9/8
I sent an email requesting expediting my application - I don't think it made any difference.

To add to the data point:
Family of 4 applied for GE Aug 2
Both of our kids received CA Aug 8
My wife and I are both still pending 5 weeks later, apparently we will be in the 120 day wait group.

I kind of wish we all got one or the other. I went ahead and scheduled interviews for the 2 approved because I read you needed to do so within 30 days. Now I need to reschedule the interviews later and keep waiting for our approval.

Frustrating to hear such different results for no rhyme or reason. I put in an application for my infant 8/17. My wife and I are already Global Entry approved x several years.

It sounds like I will probably be waiting for a few more months now. Too bad because our international travel is <2 months from now and I was hoping to do Enrollment on Arrival. We're also driving/flying through multiple interview centers these next several months that we might not be able to take advantage of.

Here's another data point. I am a US citizen. I flew out of the country about 15 years ago. I plan on flying more for work and leisure. I flew twice domestically in the last 6 months.
Received new passport 09/03/19
Applied for Global Entry 09/03/19
Received Conditional Approval email on 09/08/19
Earliest interviews available in DFW is in November.

It was quite unexpected to have a 5 day turnaround.
