My payment date was during the first week of June and I'm still under review. I did however have one on the criteria which may slow down the process. I'm hoping this gets approved soon as I've probably spent over 3 hours in re-entry lines since applying for this program.

Once you are approved at the interview, you can use GE immediately. The CBP officer will attach a CBP sticker to the back of your passport. If you are flying the same, or maybe the next day, it should be all setup!

Awesome, thanks for the news!
It took about 6-7 business days for me to receive my conditional notification (just an hour ago). I set an appointment for tomorrow so assuming I haven't been sleep-law-breaking I should be good to go.

Hello fellow members,

thanks.
I applied for Global Entry on July 4 and received my conditional approval today on July 14 ... that's 10 days.

I'm all done. Applied on 7/6, conditional approval 7/14, interview/approved 7/15. Quick and easy.
It says my renewal is on my birthday in 2016...that's 6 years instead of 5. I like that. Then I won't have to renew my passport and global entry in the same year.

(a Sunday morning) interviewed this AM and approved.
Form the comment the CBP officer made to another client, they may match up the expiration with your passport expiration.
That seems hard to do. I signed up this year, and my passport expires next year. And unlike drivers' licenses, the expiration of the next one isn't predictable--it's whenever they process my renewal application.
BTW, has the program been around long enough to renew GE? What's that process like?

but less than 6, they seem to be extending the date of the GE.
And my understanding is that the GE expires on your birthday, not the date you are accepted. At least that 's when mine expires.
Just took a look at his app - as he wasn't yet approved but I was - and saw he has the wrong state for his DL!! Looking at the FAQ's there's no way to change it ponce submitted- so do we just have ot wait for the denial or is there any point to calling? He emailed the GOES email the info and maybe he'll get a response tomorrow.
ARGGGHHHHH.

Reason: merge consecutive posts
I applied for global entry on Thursday night 8/6/10 and am still awaiting interview notice. My wife applied on Sunday night 8/9/10 and received e-mail on Wednesday 8/11 afternoon that she can now schedule her interview for the GE service.
I am hoping to get it soon before my next month's trip to PVG returning via DTW.

About a week from submitting to conditional approval.
Re: what to bring to the interview, make sure you have something with your current address on it (I believe it says this in the interview confirmation letter you get). My DL still has my old address on it, so I brought a utility bill, and the officer was fine with that. Agree with the earlier comment that the interview was one of the nicer gov't experiences I've ever had. Officer was friendly and efficient, questions were reasonable (in the sense that all of them bore a relation to reasonable grounds to deny GE), process was quick.
My entire enrollment took exactly 7 days. Applied on 8/6, received conditional approval on 8/9 and interviewed on 8/13.
Other than being in an office the size of a shoebox, the interview went well. The officers were very pleasant and took the time to explain everything and go through the kiosk demo/training. They did advise I will need to go to a GE enrollment office to update my passport number when it is renewed in 2012. All other information can be updated online through GOES. The GE enrollment is good through my birthday in 2016.
