Stuck in MEX as AeroMexico flight to GRU is being repeatedl delayed...

Anyone know what might be going on?

LAX-MEX-GRU, the MX-GRU was first delayed from 11pm until 00:10, now it's delayed to 03:20am. I have a meeting in Sao Paolo later today, is it looking unlikely I'll make it?

Is the delay a prelude to cancellation perhaps, but stalling so AM don't have to put us up for the night?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum.

I'd check to see if other flights out of MEX are delayed.

And as is always mentioned on FT, if it's an important meeting, get there a day early.

Nope.

Yup. But leaving on a Saturday for a Monday PM meeting has a low WAF!

Flight delayed twice so far. Hardly unusual. Maybe mechanical problem. If they think the flight will depart at 3, they would be unlikely to arrange hotels. You have a meeting scheduled for right after a long overnight flight? Hope you make your meeting. But the airline won't compensate you for a missed meeting. Good luck. See cruisecritics.com for posts from people sweating whether a flight delay will mean they will miss a cruise.
