A friend of mine returned to Jamaica on Tuesday and was told when he arrived in Kingston that his luggage was left behind in Toronto, on purpose! The plane was too heavy and so they had to leave luggage behind... and it might come sometime this week.
Is that normal? Isn't that what the luggage restrictions are for, to make sure everybody's luggage can get on?
I called Air Jamaica here in Toronto and they said that the luggage was being sent by Air Canada on Wednesday to Montego Bay and then shipped to Kingston. The "tracker" system shows the luggage as arriving in Kingston last night. We'll see.
