LAN e-upgrade chances ...

hi everyone,

as LANPASS elite you get some e-upgrade vouchers. as i understand one can only request an upgrade at checkin.
how likely is that the upgrades clear at the gate? i am especially interested in the MIA-LIM-MIA route.

As both a LAN Comodoro and Premium Silver, I have always cleared into J on the MIA-LIM-MIA route. This is route with very little premium traffic for LAN.

That being said, a lot of variable come into play:

1) What dates are you traveling and what are the flight loads?

2) Does your fare meet the minimum requirement for an upgrade ($550)?

3) At the airport it is first-come, first-served as far as upgrades, so technically a Premium member that gets there before you could grab the "last" seat available (very unlikely to happen)

i will travel mia-lim either on Feb 01 or Feb 02 return on friday Feb 13. loads in business class (according to expertflyer) are J4 C4 I4 (like on any other day )

i will grab tickets with a fare price slightly larger than 550 US$ which should qualify for upgrades.
