If you are carrying ANY food items even packaged coffee which two years ago did not have to be declared, YOU MUST CHECK YES on your customs form for the question about animal/plant products.

This releases you from any fines if the Aduanas/SAG people discover and confiscate a "prohibited" item.

Not much difference between Biz & First Class Lounges

I've gone to both the Mistral and Neruda lounges and honestly i couldn't event tell you which was first and which was business. Neruda's bigger and Mistral is getting remodeled right now, but beyond that....

There's an AC club too, but i always go to the LAN lounges because it's their home hub. The food / service is better.

Actually come to think of it, the old Mistral lounge, pre-remodeling had quite worn chairs.

Hello, have a trip coming out of SCL and since I also have a priority pass, I have a choice between the LAN mistral lounge, the Pacifico, the Delta crown room, or the AA Admiral's club. Can any one tell me which are best? Many thanks!!

Lan Mistral will be closed for PP members for the month of August (per the PP site). The Pacific Club is nondescript, but ok (better than most lounges in EZE), the AA club I haven't been to in ages (it seemed adequate), and I haven't been in the DL club. AA is probably better than the Pacific Club. Mistral will have the better food and drink if it is available.

AA Admirals Club IS way better than the Pacific VIP club. In fact, the SCL Admirals Club has the reputation of being the second best lounge in the Admirals Club system.

Thank you very much indeed to you both for the feedback! - it will be in July so should be ok for Mistral, I guess I'll try it assuming it's better than the AA one. BTW, any similar recommendation on EZE lounges would be most welcome! Thanks again!

The EZE lounges suck. UA RCC and AA AC are pleasant (empty) spaces that get so overcrowded, you can barely find a seat. Both have a paltry selection of cheese and crackers, chips, olives, and other similar crap. The Salon de las Americas is even worse, with barely-functioning internet, and similar snacks (but sometimes their inexpensive wine is better). I was once in the IB lounge and don't recall much there - it was some time ago. The newly remodeled AX lounges are apparently decent, but I've never been inside.

Thanks for the great info! - although it certainly doesn't sound like there is any of them I should look forward to discovering! I only remember the old tiny AF lounge, which had nice food but was literally one small waiting room with a waiter and too many passengers!

Mistral Lounge

Hi guys, first time poster here. I travel through SCL every couple of months approx. I am still working on OW Sapphire Status (Ruby for now), and usually I buy my way into the Mistral Lounge for $30 (US). I last was in SCL in mid July and was informed that they would not be selling day-passes again until September, presumably because the Neruda Lounge is being remodelled during this time.

UA's website says the RCC club in EZE is open until 21:30hrs. Is that true? My international flight doesn't leave until 2400hrs. Thanks

That would be the case. The Mistral Lounge is a Zoologico right now. I made use of my Priority Pass on the last visit to relax a bit more. However, I returned to the Mistral Lounge just before flight time for a snack and drink better than what the other lounges had to offer. The others offer day passes, but none has offerings as nice as the LAN lounges. I believe the Pacific Club may be less expensive than the others.

I'd take the Mistral lounge. The SCL AC is sub-standard, the Delta Crown Room is OK but nothing special and the Pacifico isn't great either. The nice thing about LAN's lounges is that there is enough food there that you can eat a meal if you want to sleep right away on the flight. Also, the selection of red wine is excellent (white wine too but I'm a red wine drinker).

You could also choose the Neruda but it's currently closed for remodeling. Which is to say that the Mistral lounge is very crowded, but I still think it's your best bet.

Mistral is currently CLOSED to Priority Pass while the Neruda is closed. Neruda is no longer in Priority Pass.

My family and I will be flying Bus. class on AA to SCL in Dec. We will be connecting to a LAN flight to Calama(sp?). Will we be able to stay in the international terminal or will we have to use the lounge in the Domestic terminal.
Thanks!
