Itravelled with my son next week to kualalambour from riyadh to bahrai then to klia and come back alone the same line my information is as followed:

Most Frequent Flyer programmes require you to join BEFORE you fly. However some may make an exception, but not all the time. So, if you have not flown yet, join now!
And its not "kualalambour".. it's Kuala Lumpur! Once you have your frequent flyer number for your self and your son, just give the respective numbers to the check-in agent of your flight. Make sure you give them the correct number for each person.
Keep all your boarding passes until the miles have posted.
