Kimpton Promo: 20% and Double Stay Credit

Just got this promo via email. Cool.

Positives: Discounted rates, double stay credit
Negatives: ?

Someone needs to stop me from chasing these reward certificates (that I struggle to actually redeem.) I clearly don't have the power to stop myself...

Glitch:
Monaco Denver is listed as a participating location for this promo, but shows zero availability at this rate when attempting to book.

Until reports of availability of free night redemptions improve, I am only using this promo to get additional stay credits for trips already planned if the rate works out lower than my original booking. Not going out of my way to use this promo otherwise.

Looking at a future booking at the Palomar in Philadelphia for next month, the new promo rate is $13 a night more than the old promo rate I have reserved. The price is slightly higher for a one night reservation I have for The Cypress in Cupertino but still less that a hotel night at the same property.

I'm inclined to book the new rates and pay the difference as I could use the extra stay credits to maintain Inner Circle.

I saw that too as it was my first choice of booking!

Is it me or is the new way that Kimpton has listed the hotels not all that efficient? I know what cities I want/need to go to but I don't have all the Kimpton names memorized.

That being said, if the prices are comparable, this will make retaining IC a breeze

Agreed.

Kimpton lists/groups the hotels by city/destination everywhere except:

1) The newly revamped Last Minute Deals results page

2) After clicking this promo (where the hotels are listed by city/destination) the drop down list on the reservations page is tough to navigate.

I was really excited about this promo when I saw Denver listed, since I'll be there for 8 nights in September. I'm also seeing no availability on the site.

If it's a glitch, I hope they fix it soon.

KimptonInTouch (Susan):
Do you have any information regarding this Denver anomaly?

So does this mean that you can re-qualify 2x faster, but also that you earn free nights 2x faster? (e.g. 7 stays under this promo = 2 free nights instead of the usual 1?). Thanks!

Just got back from my first FLING stay. My Karma account under "YTD stays" reflects the stay but not the bonus (i.e. the double stay credit is not appearing). The fine print makes it sound like the double stay credit will not be posted until the end of October.

Has anyone seen their double stay credit post yet?
