The RiverPlace in Portland did very well. Two 22-ounce bottles of Portland Brewing craft beer, a bar of Moonstruck sea salt almond dark chocolate, a jar of mixed nuts and two 500ml bottles of Evian.

Hotel Muse - NYC
Upgrade - hit - upgrade to suite
Amenity - hit - food and drink as requested in my preference
Overall enjoyed the ambience of this hotel.

70 Park Hotel - NYC
Update - only one category offered, refused suite upgrade even though available.
Amenity - miss. They only offer $30 minibar credit here and breakfast coupon (good for two pre-packaged items eg. yoghurt or boiled egg and a coffee) and their minibar is overpriced compared to the Muse (also in Manhattan) making the $30 minibar credit less valuable. I think the hotel has a policy of not doing the amenity as people here consistently report the $30 credit. Does not seem to comply with Kimpton brand standards. Unimpressed. Cancelled a 3 night stay planned for this month and am staying at a Starwood instead.

I've stayed with various Kimpton hotels in the SF area since I hit IC. Still yet to receive a welcome amenity...

Anyone else have similar issues?

I just became an IC member last week, so I didn't really know I could ask for anything at my first stay, but it was:

Lorien-Alexandria
Food-miss, a cheese plate with no cheese! It just had small bits of fruit on it...weird
Drink-bottle of champagne, which was good, but I'm not sure how they picked that

Second stay
Morrison House-Alexandria
Food: hit, nice cheese plate
Drink: hit, 2 bottles of Hofbrauhaus Beer

Two Kimpton stays this past week:

70 Park

Amenity – As others have reported, 70 Park is giving out $30 at the mini-bar instead of an amenity. This suited me just fine as I didn’t arrive until 1:30 am (and was leaving at 9:30 am) so just took some snacks for the road. They also gave a card for breakfast the next morning at the coffee shop (good for 1 coffee or tea + 1 juice + 1 pastry + 1 fruit or yogurt). So, although others might disagree, this was a big HIT for me.
Upgrade – Was upgraded from a Queen Deluxe to a King Premier. Not a suite, but a very nice room on the 17th floor with a little balcony and great view of the Empire State Building. HIT.

Eventi
Food Amenity – A sad little cheese plate with 4 crackers. I didn't even get the little box of chocolates they usually include (I've got chocolate as my preferred sweet, and Eventi has this cute little box of 4 chocolates that I think I've gotten almost every single stay). MISS
Beverage Amenity - Two bottles of water. The sad little cheese plate would have been okay as the only food item, but that plus totally ignoring beverage preferences (and no alcohol)? Big MISS.
Upgrade - Upgraded to Executive Suite. Eventi is consistently good here. I almost always get upgraded to an Executive or a Premier Suite. HIT

Epic - Miami
Upgrade - hit - upgrade to suite
Amenity - hit - champagne, cheese and fruit, diet coke
One of my favorite Kimpton properties.

Surfcomber - Miami Beach
Upgrade - hit - upgrade to beachfront room with balcony
Amenity - hit - beer, cheese and fruit, diet coke
Sometimes a really great value.

Monaco - Denver
Upgrade - hit - upgrade to huge suite
Amenity - hit - champagne, red wine, cheese and fruit, diet coke
I think reception sent up a second upon check-in probably by accident.

Solamar (San Diego)

Upgrade - Hit, upgraded to King Deluxe room overlooking Petco Park
Amenity - Hit, two local brews and some water were nicely presented on ice when I returned from the Wine Hour. Also had a bowl of cashews and peanut butter cups.

Secret Word - So/So, hoped for free valet, but received a free movie and a free drink, which I used at the pool bar for a margarita on the unseasonably warm day.

Raid the Bar - used it for a great Old Fashioned at JSix

My profile mentioned wheat beer, and every single Kimpton we've stayed at has gotten some very nice wheat beer for us.

Food has varied dramatically:
Palomar SD - Mixed nuts plus some amazing dessert creations (I think it was a cake pop, a brownie, and a cookie or something).

Harbor Court SF - No food

Monaco SLC - Generous cheese & fruit plate, plus a great cookie.

Palomar SF - Bag of high-end trail mix, it was great!

Monaco SF - Small carafe of mixed nuts. Might have left a better impression to go the "no food" route ala Harbor Court.

Monaco (Denver)

Drinks--Hit. 2 Tanqueray minibottles, 2 tonics, and 2 bottles of water
Food--Miss. Probably my worst amenity ever in this respect. Sad cheese plate and a few berries. The lack of brownies made me very sad (maybe they assume that if you're coming to Denver, you're not going to want to eat non-drug-infused baked goods??).
Upgrade--Hit. Really nice suite

Another old Miami Beach hotel with somewhat fresh lipstick.

Nice suite upgrade (first I've had there in 5 stays) but weak amenity

Drinks: two bottles of water (!?) and a soda. Profile specifies craft beer.

Food: A half-rotten apple, two figs, and four chocolate truffles.

Did not provide IC newspaper benefit.

Morrison House (Alexandria, VA)

Took 4 and half hours after I asked about it and then...

Drink: 4 8oz Dansani water - Profile is Craft Beer

Food: Grapes, Strawberries, and Apple that smelled like dead fish - I took if down to the from desk and he couldn't believe it... (Profile is chocolate or nuts)

By far the worst I have ever gotten
