Iberia MAD to LAX

Hi,

Very specific question here... I travelled from Madrid to Los Angeles on Iberia 20 years ago when this was a nonstop route. Since then, this route has been removed and MAD to LAX is now less than nonstop. Does anyone know when the MAD-LAX nonstop service was ceased? I have tried several web searches without success. Thanks.

can not answer your specific question, but there have been rumours out there that IB may well return to this route in the near future as part of increased co operation btween IB and AA.

let's hope so

LAX - MAD

has anybody an up-date on this? Will not always go through LHR, FRA/MAD or ORD while flying from Spain to US west coast.

Thanks

Spainfly, not sure about your log on name. There's a copyright issue here.

Sincerely,

There are no "copyright" issues here.

Spainfly, welcome to FlyerTalk. No news yet on this new route (I could love if they started it again) but they haven't announced anything, no any strong rumors.

copyright

Thanks alanw.

To be honest, did not understand the problem with "copyright".

Thanks for the up-date to MAD - LAX, so my next flights will go again through the well known hubs,...

Best regards

Michael

I think it will be a happy day for a lot of people when we have a nonstop option to LAX.
