How long is my Brussels Airlines (SN) Privilege status valid?

Quick question regarding Brussels Airlines Privilege (assume for now that Privilege remains as it is and ignore the Lufthansa acquisition of SN):

My personal membership year is from October to September. I will probably qualify for Gold in December. I assume that even if I collect no more status miles on SN, I will get the Gold status immediately after qualifying (or within a few days), for the rest of my personal membership year until September 2009, and then for the full membership year October 2009 to September 2010. From October 2010 I would then fall back to Blue. Correct?

What about my miles I collected, say, in 2006? When will they expire? On 30 September 2010? Or on 30 September 2013?

Yes, you will get Gold status immediately after you hit the threshold, and will keep it until the end of October 2010 before going back to Blue.

As a Gold, you will enjoy unlimited miles validity for all your miles. Assuming that you fall back to Blue in October 2010, you have another three years before your miles expire at the end of September 2013.

Let's hope Privilege does not remain on its own for too long but becomes part of Star Alliance and Star Alliance Company Plus !
