I guess you didn't like it then? I think if you went to Iceland to have 5-star service, then your expectation might have been a little high. The travel industry is still in its infancy in the country, they're still sending people abroad to train, to most Icelanders, us tourists are still a bit of a novelty. Remember that this is a very expensive, remote island of 300,000 people, that really began to welcome tourists a little over twenty years ago.

I'm not a Icelandic apologist, but I am a little biased. Anyway half of travel is about experiences, good and bad.
