MAD connection and lounge information

I am flying in business class on BOG-MAD on IB connecting to a IB codeshare (operated by BA) onward to London. I'd love to be able to grab a shower and with a bit over 2.5 hours between flights I suspect I'd have time. Can anyone tell me if I'll have access to a lounge with showers and if I'm correct that I'd have time to grab a shower? I'm connecting onward in London, so actually could go to the lounge and clean up there, but would like to do that in MAD if possible.

If you are Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald level, then you will definitely have access to the Oneworld lounges in Madrid. BA flights to LON leave from Terminal 4 Satellite, the same terminal into which you will arrive from BOG. The lounge there is called Sala Velásquez and there are showers, snacks and drinks.

If you do not have status on Oneworld but are flying to LON in Club Europe, I believe you will also be granted access to the same lounge.

I do have OW status so that will be easy enough. Excellent news, thanks!

The Velasquez lounge in T4S is very pleasant. The food offerings aren't up to much, but it is very light with great views over the airport. To have a shower go to the receptionists as you go in, give in your boarding pass and you will get a key to one of the showers in exchange. You get your boarding pass back when you return the key. I've never had to wait for a shower.

This sounds like where I wound up. I enjoyed the shower as well as the sunlight after the overnight flight. The food in the lounge was actually decent, better than anything the US carriers put out, as well as what BA lounges have. Overall a nice experience, which was good considering my connection was delayed and so I had 5 hours to kill.
