4 people arrested on Thomas Cook MAN-LAS today

Hi All,

I have heard what happened those 4 people were arrested for doing drugs, drinking, and did not listen with the flight crew instructions. My sister was on her flight from MAN-LAS today. She recently flew on Thomas Cook. She was sitting in First Class, but those 4 people were sitting in far back of the aircraft. They were removed 4 people off the aircraft. Her plane was at taxied and wait for customs to be cleared.

Does anyone know about those 4 people?

At the moment I couldn't find any news in the local or UK media...

Well, is not the first time that a plane from MAN/LPL/GLA has to divert for misbehaviour of some passengers.

Some companies are directly banning alcohol (losing a lot of revenue) in the flights to 'hot' destinations as the ratio diversions / flights was getting pretty high

I haven't gotten a news yet. Yes, you're absolutely right! Alcohol is banned from the flights. That's a problem. They aren't allowed to served a alcoholic beverage.

Thomas Cook does not offer First Class.

They have Economy and Premium Economy: https://www.thomascookairlines.com/

Apparently they don't even want to refer to these seats as "brand new". Guess they are recycled!

That could well be. They do not measure up against modern day PE seats.

Drunken Brits on a low cost airline to a party destination?

I don't believe it.

What is mildly worrisome is that the drunk passengers in the cabin perceived those 4 as unacceptably drunk ...

Precisely! Those 4 people were arrested and they were not listening with the flight crew instructions, doing drugs and drinking. They were very intoxicated. Alcohol is banned from the flights. Yes, it's not acceptable for the behaviors. They will banned flying for existence miserable life.

If they really were "doing drugs" onboard, then it would be headline news everywhere.

And yet, the reported incident didn't even warrant a mention in this article from the same day:

Manchester Airport is flying high as one the UK's blackspots for drunken air passengers, according to new figures.

At least 30 people were held between March 2014 and March 2016 by police at Manchester Airport and cases include passengers trying to smash windows and banging on the cockpit door demanding more booze.

Manchester has the highest number of incidents in England outside the main London airports and shadow transport secretary Lilian Greenwood described the figures as ``extremely concerning''.
...or in any news report since.
