Easyjet: snowboard bag as hold luggage

Easyjet: snowboard bag as hold luggage
I hope this is the right place to ask this question:
On Easyjet Gatwick to Munich flight ... can I take a snowboard bag with all my stuff contained by paying for a hold bag ?
Reading the info carefully, there seems to be a dimensions limit (275cm total) and a 20kg weight limit.
The snowboard bag would meet those dimension limits, so provided I keep it within weight, this seems OK ... or will they say "this is sports equipment" ?
Has anyone tested this ?
