New Cypriotic airline planned: "Cobalt Air" (now ceased operation)

An Australian-backed company wants to be THE new airline for Cyprus.

Also, this Summer, Transavia will fly to Cyprus again.

That's a shame... flew with them 6-14 October (i.e. last week), seemed like a good airline - largely on-time, friendly and helpful staff, no less comfortable than say BA for European flights, good fares.

UGGGHHHHHHH I'm supposed to fly them Saturday from Dusseldorf to Larnaca.....
The two tickets I bought were not cheap.
Travel insurance (I have) & credit card (Chase United Visa) both say airline insolvency is not covered...
Lucky me.

Did you file the CC chargeback?

Well..... I was scheduled to leave tomorrow morning, so I'm going to wait to do it until after the departure date. But when I first saw the news yesterday, I called Chase immediately, and she said that airline insolvency isn't covered under the insurance. But I'm wondering if she (I?) wasn't confused between the actual travel insurance provided by the card, and/or a chargeback for services not performed?

Anyway, I bought two (much more expensive) tickets on LOT for almost the same times, but I'm still so bummed about the whole thing.....
