Friends of Flyer Talk give me many great suggestions. Now:
1. I use Citi Dividend card--all supermarket, gas and drugstore 5% cash back
2. I use PremierPass Elite Level--All air tickets 1 mile=1 point+$1=1 point
3. I use American Express Starwood--High value points and oversea transfer
4. I use Diners Club--I don't know.
5. I use ICBC Platinum card--Free Priority Pass
I want to know whether I should apply or convert this card:
Citi mtvU card of student--all restaurant (include fast food), bookstore $1=5 points GPA4.0=2000 Because my friends told me this is a valuable card for restaurant.
The Chase Business Card gives you 3% on Restaurants, Taverns, Gas, Home Improvement, Office Supply. Rebate is limited to $2,000 in purchase per month. This equals $720 in rebates per year. Much greater than 5% rebate cards that set limit at $300 in rebates per year.
The mtvU card is an interesting card. 5% back at bookstores, movie theaters, and restaurants. No one can say for sure whether it's worth it for you. How much do you spend on restaurants each year? Multiply that by 3% (5% back on this vs 2% back using PP Elite). That's how much you gain by having this card. Then you have to weigh that vs the inconvenience of having to carry another card (and possibly another inquiry on your credit report). One other thing to note is that I've heard that all purchases at Amazon.com count as bookstore purchases.
Another option is the Citi Professional card. 3 TY pts/$ for car rentals and restaurants.

Last three month:
I spent 800 in Supermarket and gas. Dividend
I spent 350 in restaurants.
I spent 2600 in Airline.Premier Pass Elite Level
I spent 1600 others.
So I want to get your suggestions. If the MTV card is valuable, I will convert Dividend card to MTV, and apply a new ATT Universal Cash back card. Thank you. How about Diners Club for car rentals? Because many people in Flytalk suggest it. I have Diners Club charge card.
Jet blue amex is always double points for restaurants.
I don't have the card myself (Yet).
200 Award Dollars - 1 True Point
100 True Blue Points = free flight.
I get 20k= a free ticket. Am I missing something here? Are we talking specifically about spending 10k a yr at the special catagories that earn 2pts / $ ?

the MTV card only gives you thank you points, so you might want to get the at&t card that gives thank you points instead of cash-- that way you can redeem the points faster. Also, there's a much higher annual earning limit for points than for cash ($300 iirc)
I'm bumping an old thread with the hope that people have more current updated info to add. Basic question....with HH AMEX reducing the number of points for restaurant charges from 5 to 3 effective January , which card offers the best rewards for restaurant purchases currently? I am more interested in points/awards based cards than cash back but would like to hear of what others are using for their dinning charges.
MTVu is still available, still offering 5 points on the dollar for restaurants, movies, music stores, and book stores. I've been using it for years and between that and my 5x points for groceries pharmacies and gas (Citi plat amex), I crank out about 4500 points per month. I burn them for flights at 2¢ per point, which yield an ultimate value of about 10% back.

I've seen that card before, thought of getting it despite the fact of having something that says 'MTV' in my wallet. However, does Citi do much to enforce the fact that this is a 'College Students Only' card?
I know the application requires you to put in your current school.

Well... 3 months of the year Discover card 'Get More' (or whatever it's called) gives 5% cashback on restaurants. Of course, the 5% reward is capped at $400 of spending... :/
