I noticed that UnitedVacations.com (United Airlines) has a offer for a Convertible in Hawaii for $169 (5 days)! Does anyone know anything about this, like the Alamo rate code needed? I want the rental car, but not the Hotel package they are marketing with it.
Until Dec 31 2004, American Airlines rate of 14 off regular rental price plus double AA miles (100 per day), for a mid size or better.
ID # 306703
rate code AN
I tried entering this, but it told me the "rate code is unavailable." Question is, can I still get the double miles? I don't really care about the discount, since it wasn't going to be much in the first place. Anyone know????
yes. i am having the same problem now since at least 7 days. for some reason almost none of the codes seem to longer work. really sucks. anybody had any luck getting a discount on alamo?

No, as you suspected I failed to read the previous page. 6T had worked so beautifully for such a long time that I took its existence for granted. Sorry. And au revoir, 6T. You will be missed.
Let me add another lament about Alamo. I can't even get my trusty $15 off a three-day rental Enterainment Coupon to work anymore. Even though it explicitly is valid through December 31, 2004. What gives?
no double miles on this one but the same rate and a Free one class upgrade.
ID=371630, Rate Code=BY, Code= U38B
Remember to book one car class BELOW that which you want to end up with, it automatically upgrades you.
Its Sams Club, the last time I used it last week they asked for the coupon I told 'em it was automatic and no coupon was necessary, no problem as it was an up done at time of booking and not when you get there. Now looking over the back of the coupon it says"orginal must be presented at counter" I had no idea it was a coupon that one needed to cut out. I also did the paper work in the term so that might have helped especially with a nice long line growing behind me.
just pass by a Sams and tell 'em you forgot to pick up a travel booklet, walk in the exit doors as thats where they are.
FYI Update: Recently returned from Hawaii and looked in the same Maui brochures that previously had the 6T Rate Code advertisements in them...and they are not to be found any longer.
