I ordered a car with navigation system .
I received a lower level car with navigation system that didn't work - They didn't want to replace it nor to give a compensation. It caused me a great suffer as we lost our way several times not to best way to have vacation with kids !!!!
Could you maybe give us some more information? Car booked, car received, city/station etc...
An example that may explain a case like yours:
If you book CLMR it's something like a VW Golf or Mercedes A-Type. If you book CPMR (which is one category higher) it is most likely a BMW 1 or Audi A3. BUT if you add 'navigation system' to CPMR it becomes CXMR which includes BMW 1, Audi A3, but also Golf and A-Type.

Sorry to hear that case.
It won´t help your spoiled trip, but this really is very unusual for SIXT. Normally they won´t hesitate to change cars when something like that happens.
