Gas Near HPN

Westchester Airport (HPN) is in a wealthy neighborhood that does not have any gas stations in the immediate proximity. Rental companies increasingly demand gas receipts from stations within a certain radius. Where do most people refill their rental car tanks?

IIRC, there's a gas station on Lake St, Citgo - this road leads to the airport.

How are their prices? Also, it's 6.1 miles from the airport. Some companies may require a gas receipt from a station within 5 miles.

Google maps show it as 3.8miles. To my recollection, this was the closest one near HPN.

I am not sure what the prices are as I am going on memory of a station being there from when I lived in WP. I verified it still exists on the CITGO website.

Yeah, but Google Maps shows HPN as being Tower Rd or something. If you drag the destination arrow to the terminal/rental car return area, it reads 6.1 mi. Google Maps also shows a street view of the gas station, but there is no sign with prices posted outside. This made me wonder about extortion pricing, like the gas station in close proximity to my local offices of Avis, Budget, and Hertz.

I don't know about other companies, but Hertz is fine with filling up in either White Plains or Port Chester or the Glenville section of Greenwich - I make sure to cram in as much gas as I can. Port Chester seems to be cheapest most of the time.
