hello, i chanced by this forum and thought could seek some advice from seasoned travellers.
my bro booked return malaysia airlines tickets to Singapore-London heathrow for my parents in september. rather carelessly, he did not ensure gender column was right for mum. so it remained as MR and not MRS/MS.
needed to call malaysia airlines numerous times to seek amendment. amazing that they dont have an e-mail contact. first time i called, they asked me to send e-mail to tech support at
ibesupport@malaysiaairlines.com - no reply. second time, staff member said will be done by the end of the day- no action. third time staff member said done and e-mail of updated itinerary will be sent to my e-mail. when i called again when i did not receive by the end of the day, she said there's a queue for the auto sending system or something and we shld receive by end of the week. well, i've waited and still seen nothing.
the thing is, they've said that it is updated in the system. but, i'd like an updated copy so that they will be no dispute at the airport. given there's no email contact (on website or anywhere) unlike other major airlines, i cant have written confirmation of the correction. just a verbal confirmation which is not enough.
anyone could pls advise on what i should do? their call centre staff are really not prompt. if the amendment is not made, will they deny the passenger concerned travel on the day of departure?
thanks!
