Great Wall Airlines 747 at SEA

I was stuck at SEA during the 12/21 snowstorm and associated delays. On the morning of 12/22 I saw a Great Wall Airlines 747 on the tarmac.

Anyone have any insight? I thought it might be cargo but the word "Cargo" was not part of the markings on the outside on the plane.

Answering my own question: Wikipedia says this is a cargo airline with service to Seattle. I guess since it's a cargo-only airline they don't feel the need to mark their planes with 'cargo' in the livery.

Is there that much demand in the US for Great Wall wine?

Great Wall Airlines is a cargo carrier, a venture of Singapore Airlines and a shipping company (Great Wall) in China.

The carrier was banned by the US in 07 because the chinese side was accused of illegally transporting weapons to Iran or one of those countries banned by the US.

The reason that US government chose to ban this airline not other Chinese carriers (a cargo one is really not that significant if you think about), is because the Great Wall Industrial Co. is not a shipping company.

It is the government owned company which oversees the development of Chinese rockets and shoting all satelites to the sky.

The whole fleet are from Singapore Airlines. At least the painting of this airline is reasonable. If you have seen the Jade Cargo Airlines (a joint company between Chinese Shenzhen Airlines and Lufthansa), you will know what means an ugly paint for a new 744.
