Air Pacific's 747's - Refurbished?

Somewhere I read that Air Pacific were going to refurbish their 747's (new seats, new entertainment systems etc).

Does anybody know if the refurbishing has started?

They had one out of service in October 2008 (they wetleased a United 747 for the period) and I have heard that the other one was to be taken out in February 2009.

I believe they go to Singapore for the refurbishment/check as they were acquired from SQ. But I could be wrong on this.

I didn't find the Tabua class seats to have a limited recline... well.. compared to NZ's lie flat maybe!!..

I'd have classed them as old, big, and quite comfortable.... YMMV of course!

Please excuse the quality.. but this shows the seat reclined...
