I am only posting this because Flyertalk have reminded me that I have not posted for a while
I am not sure if it will apply to the Paris route but on BRs web site, 'Flight Status', Utapao is now offered as an Asia start and depart point.
This will only be a temporary measure though, I have used Utapao several times to fly to/from Samui with Bangkok Airways.
