Baggage allowance on BR when codeshare

Hey all,

I'm not sure if I will be able to make BR Gold again next year, still few thousand miles away(73k or something). I would like to know would I have extra check-in baggage allowance with my AC Elite(Star Gold) status, when traveling on AC ticket TPE-YVR-TPE? On AC, I'm allowed 3 bags @ a maximum of 32kg per bag. On other *A flights it'll be 20kg extra and whatever I get. Neither BR website or AC website stated anything about this. More bags = more Taiwanese stuff to bring=happy wife It is important to me

Thanks in advance!

I will assume that you should follow BR's rule instead of AC's rule.

I know that I should follow BR rules, but they did not mention anything about it on their website. I'm allowed to go to Evergreen Lounge when traveling in Y with my AC Elite status when traveling on AC6224, but not sure if I get any baggage allowance benefit though.

You have to follow EVA's rule since you are on EVA's metal for this segment.

Yes, yes I know I should follow EVA rules as stated in my previous reply, that's why I posted this on Asian forum not AC forum. My question is what is the EVA's rule about this? Do I get any extra baggage allowance with AC Elite status when traveling on AC6224 which is operated by BR10?

My guess is if you are originating in TPE, they will be sticklers and the answer is no extra allowance. If you are originating in YVR, most of the agents have at least a working knowledge of AC's FF program, so you may get some leeway.
