How is Evergreen/ Elite Class on Eva Air?

I am thinking of flying Eva Air from CLE-LAX-TPE-BKK and SIN-TPE-LAX-CLE in Evergreen/ Elite Class. How are the seats? Food? Service? Is it worth the extra money? Do you have any other suggestions for discounted Elite/ Business class travel from CLE-BKK and SIN-CLE? Preferably on an airline where I can earn Continental OnePass miles. I am traveling mid January till mid February.

Try this thread, there is a lot of information about ED class.
first time in EVA delux...what to expect?
Also try the search engine as it works quite well looking for information on Evergreen Deluxe Class and Elite Class.
There are business class fares from BKK to CLE on KE, DL for about $ 1,450.00. You would just have to purchase a ticket from SIN to BKK which are very cheap.

Just checked out the thread that yvrcnx directed you to. My opinion hasn't changed much since my contributions to that thread. Since then, EVA has cut the miles awarded for deluxe/elite. The maximum you can get is now 115% of the standard economy award. You may get less for a discounted ticket.

In conclusion, if you're a bit tall you'll find elite/deluxe much more comfortable. Elite has laptop power - which may also make it worth the extra if you do a long run.

Singapore Airlines has better food in economy than EVA in deluxe/elite and flies LAX/TPE. So I would certainly choose them over EVA for economy.

A word of warning... Availability on EVA's Elite is a pain. Even as gold, I have a hassle to get the date I want when booking less than a couple of weeks in advance or at busy times. I would avoid Elite on BR67/68 if you think you might need to change your dates at short notice.
