Sometimes a major restructuring like this is necessary. Sad to see 6000 people will lose their jobs though.

No CEO can achieve that unless major layoffs are a choice. Seems that is already been done.

A new CEO today can slow down the bleeding and whip the troops in shape for a faster new identity and regaining the public's confidence.

I think there are always buyers out there who believe thay can build a better mousetrap / airline.
