Even got a pair (and a RIMOWA kit) on BR316 (BNE-TPE) which is a daytime Premium Laurel flight. Is that standard practice, or did I just get lucky?

standard. They give both no matter the time of day for long haul flights.

Yes. Only certain destinations get Krug Rose. They serve Veuve Cliquot Grande dame for the rest of the destinations.

Any short haul destinations with Krug?

BR215/216(SIN) currently has Krug Rose because it is the Hello Kitty flight. However, starting at the end of may, it will shift to BR225/226(SIN)(Rose champagne and HK) and 215/216 will return back to Veuve Cliquot.

I believe TPE-DPS gets the short haul champagne. It is Champagne de Castelnau if it is the short haul champagne.

Has anyone tried the "Din Tai Fung Noodle with Spicy Shrimp and Pork Wonton, Steamed Beef Soup" out of TPE? I can take a bit of spice (average Singapore laksa standard) but not much more. Should I stay away from this dish?

Not as spicy as Laksa but when I had it, it was so salty. I ended up drinking 5 bottles of water in one flight.

Does it matter if it's on Hello Kitty metal? Looks like about 50% of the time one of the Hello Kitty A330s is used on the TPE DPS route.

DPS has no more Hello Kitty. They only serve Krug Rose on Hello Kitty Flights.

First flight on BR in J coming up in June. With the Shining Star moving to the TPE-ORD route this summer, is it worth it to switch from a non-HK flight to HK? Aside from the extra HK decorated food, is the food quality still the same?

I honestly can't decide at this point. Part of me just wants a normal flight, the other part just wants to do the HK for giggles.

I checked the tail of the last few planes on the route, and it seems to be one of the HK ones about 50% of the time, unless I'm mistaken.

you may get a Hello Jitty jet but the service is the regular service, not the Hello Kitty themed service. Krug Rose is with the Hello Kitty service.

The website seems to suggest that pajama's and RIMOWA kit are only provided in Royal Laurel. That's why I was surprised. I suppose there the BNE flight is one of
the few remaining long-haul routes with Premium Laurel seats.
