Any experience with Best Travel Store?

I've never used them before, and wasn't even aware of the place until a few days ago when I was looking for fares for an upcoming TATL flight on Kayak (one of the banner ads). I checked them out of curiosity. The website is bt-store.com.

Long story short, I came up with a couple of United that were priced significantly lower than the fare on United for exactly the same itinerary (we're talking roughly $900 vs. $1450). Now, normally I prefer to book directly through airline, use my profile, and ensure I'll have no issues and of course get my RDMs/EQMs. This however, is a huge difference.

I assume these are bulk rates of some sort, but according to fare rules displayed, I see no restrictions on mileage or anything like that. They appear to be "regular" S/W fares. More specifically fare basis is SKXCNC9 / WKXCNC9 (outbound / return).

Does anyone have general experiences with this site/agency, knowledge regarding EQMs and whether status is applicable in this case (as in, do I get E+ seats)?

Thanks!

I have used them when booking at tpac for a friend. It was last minute and I believe it was about 400 cheaper then anywhere else.He was able to e+ seats and full eqm. They have attractive tpac z fares. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them. He was also able to upgrade the domestic segments of the fare with e-500's

I used them two years ago to book a trip to Brazil (not on United in this case). They worked very well for me...we booked the original trip via their web site but then had to change my flight a month later and they worked everything out for us on the phone. I believe they are based out of Los Angeles if that matters to you.

I used them 2 years ago to book a flight from BOS to BCN via LHR on BA. They were $300/pp cheaper than everyone else. I booked the flight and had my confirmation within 24 hours. No Complaints.

Thanks for the replies, great to hear some first hand experience. Good to know BT can be counted on, as they really seem to have good deals on certain routes. For this particular trip, the good news is that UA/LH fares seem to be dropping a bit and getting closer to those fares quoted on BT, maybe the trend continues.

Experiences with Best travel store?

I was searching for a business/first class flight to the Orient when I found a site called the Best Travel Store. The prices for first class flights were amazingly low. Has anyone heard of this travel agency and are they reliable? Some of the rates were almost too good to be true for next summer. Thanks in advance for your input.

How low is that and what airline ? I can see the business class fares to the orient is about $3000, which is about the same when airline sell discount business class fares, but you are only allow to travel in certain days and lots of restrictions like no business class bonus miles. Also you are certainly not going to find reputable or high ranking airlines like SQ, CX and NH for that fare. Second class airline like CI and BR can be cheap for business class to the orient.
