If it is a good source, it is only because we make it so by posting. Why bother when there are other sources. Let's invest our time elsewhere any help the other sources get better.

This has got to be the longest running saga in internet travel history.

Folks, who cares? It's obvious that the best policy for any seasoned traveller is to not post on that site. I think that's what 99% of flyertalkers do. It's a shame, but it is what it is.

How old is that info on travelgoop. Site doesn't seem active.

No, not many are posting there right now. But I think its structure is much easier than the forum layout of BB and BFT. So I try to promote it for more usage in the future.

taken collectively, the search tools, calendar of wins, data points and friendly moderator on BetterBidding makes this the go-to site to prep for a successful Priceline bidding session. The Priceline maps feature is available for many major cities and lets you see the location of hotels and the recent (and relevant) winning bid information.

Another take

I was banned a few years back. I just ran down to the public library and accessed the site in about ten minutes.

Personally, I have not used Biddingfortravel.com and Betterbidding.com very much at all since Priceline allows rebidding in the same area after 24 hours. And that is in addition to all the "free rebids" that you can get in areas with multiple bidding zones.

I look at what the Hotwire is charging for a particular location and bid 40-50% lower. If I am unsuccessful, I bump up the bid $5 and start the next day.

Sheryl can run her site how she wants to, but after six to seven years of using Priceline and Hotwire, there is little of value that I can glean from her website. And I do NOT need the attitude.

Are you familiar with the "free rebid" system which allows you more than one bidding opportunity within a 24 hour period? By the wording in your post, it's difficult to determine whether or not you're aware.....

i think that bft site caters to a select group and its so well publicised, sheryl must be doing something right. her selective blocking of users is not unique to her site.
