I don't know if I should add this to the "1570 AA Miles" thread, but I'm starting anew. I had one Priceline bid that got me the eBay Anything Points, but another hasn't come through.
May 31, 8 days after the bid: I saw in the discussion that questions should go to PL, not eBay. I wasn't sure how long the points should take to post, so that was the question I asked on PL's contact form. Late that night I got an e-mail saying to call them. I called them, when I got someone after many menu selections, he said the question should go to the Research and Escalation people, who leave at 10 ET; I should call back.
June 1: I called, this time the menu choices made me listen to a long recorded spiel that my stay was non-refundable, disputes about incidentals should be to the hotel, etc. I needed to hear it a second time when I made one wrong menu choice. The person I got then said the question had already gone to R & E and I could expect a call back within the next two days.
June 7: There's been no call and no points, so I called back and heard the same recordings. The person put me on hold, I heard dead air for over 30 minutes; I figured I was disconnected and hung up hoping they'd call me. When it didn't happen, I used the online contact asking if they could e-mail or call me with an answer to my simple question. I got an answer that they can't do outbound phone calls; I had to call them.
June 8: I called from my office, where it's more comfortable to be on hold, at the end of the working day. I think I got through to someone without the spiel; she said "We'll put this through to R & E and they'll call you back within 2-3 business days."
Me: I heard that last week and didn't hear anything back, and I'm leaving the country at the end of this week.
PL: So you did, I'll try to put you through to R & E now.
Short hold, this time with music. We went over it, and I assured them that used the eBay link and logon just the same as the bid that got the points; my confirmation has the eBay logo. They weren't seeing any record of this going through the link I said, truthfully, that I was leaving the country, and they said that they would try to call me back the next day.
So now it's the night of June 10 and I've heard nothing. I have one working day before I leave on an overseas trip that will go past the June 30 expiration of the AA double miles; I don't really have time to spend on a long phone call that might not accomplish anything. Any suggestions on getting satisfaction?I may have to do without these points, and I'll have the consolation that I would have used PL for this stay in any case. This credit would have gotten me over a key landmark in AA miles, but I'm not in a hurry to use them and I'll have other chances to get them.
I don't like using the phone much and I like that PL is designed to get everything done over the Web; it's a problem that this requires the phone. Knowing of some complaints about PL phone agents, I note that these people were understandable and courteous, aside from questions of competence particularly with the long hold. I'm attracted to miles and points enough that I haven't used PL as much as I otherwise would, but it's something of a relief that with them I don't need to go through the grief about missing credit (since I expect no credit) that I sometimes do with conventional booking; now I'm running into that problem with PL.
I'm not sure why you are having trouble with this. I've done it a few times and got the bonus everytime.
Click on your winning request and if you have a little ebay sign on the top right of the page you should get the points. If you don't then you didn't do it right.
Just incase you weren't aware.
a) you have to sign up for anything points first. (check on ebay, you may even have to have a paypal account).
b) you have to come to priceline through the ebay link, AFTER entering your ebay id.
Incase you didn't do either one of the two you wont get the points.
Thanks, I did all this; as I said, I had a first bid where the points came through; I did the second bid exactly the same way and no points. There is an eBay logo on the confirmation.

Karan97, I did all of the above for a 2 week old rental car purchase, my confirmation that I printed has the ebay travel logo, and if I click on my request it still has the logo. I've also been through the exact same phone exercise as rove312, and have no points to date. Doing it all right is unfortunately no guarantee of having the points posted properly.
i have also not received points for a car rental. I have done it through ebay twice and gotten the points once. Both of my bids hae the ebay logo. I haven't taken any action to fix this yet.

Me too!
I am also a victim of not getting points for car rentals!! Hotel points usually post without delay in 1-2 days. Still no points for a car rental two weeks ago...
Send Priceline an email through the website. I had the same problem of not getting points from a bid last week.
I sent the message at 5pm. I checked my anythingpoints account at 540pm and saw the points posted at 520pm!! Kudos Priceline!
Hmmm. First I went back and forth with eBay for a few days and they finally told me I'd need to check with Priceline. Then I spent 1/2 hour on the phone with Priceline (the first 10 minutes or so were spent through their message system, then being hung up on and having to redo the whole thing, because you CANNOT bypass it) and was told it would be "escalated" to research and I would hear back in 3 days. Of course, I didn't. I called back a week later, plowed through the message system again, and was told that the agent the week before had done nothing with the complaint. So now I'm supposed to give them another 3 days.
flyingstudent, I suspect that you just got very lucky . . .
Maybe its coincedence but, I sent an e-mail complaint this afternoon (soon after posting my post in this thread) and I just checked my account to see my points credited.

Two hours after I got my points credited, I got a very polite and personalized reply from Priceline to indicate that I'll see my points posted very shortly and wish me a pleasant stay at the SFO hotel I got!
Overall, I am extremely impressed with Priceline's customer service!!!
