Expedia Question?

My question is I can book a flight from LAX to LHR from August 21st through the 25th for an average per person of 439.58, which I think is a great fare. The flights are on United airlines.

I then proceeded to attempt to book the same flights on United.com and the prices are in the 800.00-900.00 range. I also called United and I got the same quotes.

Finally, to my question. Is their usually that much of a difference in price between Expedia and United? What are the disadvantages of going through a website like this? Would you suggest I book through Expedia?

Many thousands of people book with Expedia and very few have problems. Finding the right web site with the cheapest fare is 90% of the battle in getting cheap tickets. If you see a fare you are happy with, grab it!
