Hotel res compare shopping

What is a recommended site for obtaing pricing on accommodations? Would like a week in St. John. Don't know if any sites offer weekly rate pricing. FWIW-looking for budget accommodations. Thank you. First time finding so little on a Caribbean destination.

You will have a tough time finding budget stuff on St John other than an eco-related site (I forget the name).

Cinnamon Bay and Maho Bay campgrounds. I stayed at CB about 7 years ago and found it adequate with a Narrow, but nice beach. St. John is one for the few places in the world that is actually prettier than its brochures.

I rather wondered if those places were little tents, sleeping on the ground with lots of mosquitos. Your comments on the beauty are most appreciated. I wish to be able to take my mom snorkeling and read the area to be one of the best.

Thanks

I've never camped there, but have seen the camping area and was impessed.I have some great memories of my wife and I alone at one of the small beaches at Caneel Bay.We'd feed the beautiful fish with cookies while wading in the crystal clear water. You'll love the Island.

The tents are not "little". I woudl guesss about 10 X 14 or so. Plus, each tent has at least two cots. So you are not on the floor and they have netting/flys so that there really is not a mosquito problem. I was there quite a while ago, so my memory is fragile, but I remember most of them being pretty "private", meaning isolated enough so you have privacy with neighbors and rustic enough that you can, and will, be awakened at night occasionally by the resident wild donkeys wandering past your tent. While you will be given pots/pans and utensils on check in, the vast majority of guests choose to eat meals at the on-site reataurant as it is fairly reasonable.
I would return without any hesitation.
