United no longer accepts PayPal

Tried to book a flight today using PayPal and it didn't go through. Spoke with PayPal and they said no issues on their end so I called United. They don't accept PayPal as a form of payment now. Huge bummer, I liked the 6 month free financing.

That doesn't mean he's too poor to fly. It may mean he's financially sophisticated, using OPM (other people's money) for free for 6 months.

It's one thing if you are talking about floating $200,000. It's goofy when you are talking about such small sums of money for a plane ticket...and to take the credit hit every time. No thank you.

If your credit is so poor that an airline ticket eats up so much of your limit that you can't live your everyday life, then you shouldn't use credit. People who can handle their finances will feel free to take free money when offered.

A penny saved is actually worth more than a penny earned.

Exactly, I'll take some free float whenever. And airline tickets aren't always "small" even if they're not equal to a house loan amount. As credit card churners know, an additional hard pull here and there has no appreciable affect on one's credit score, unless the existing credit score is very low (or thin history).
