Any One-World Insider? Discount on RTW coming soon?
Are there any one world insider out there? Will one world be bringing back the 10% discount on RTW again? Ready to book my RTW honeymoon for March 2010 but waiting for discounts to come out.

I agree with Traveloguy and Moomba. The prices were absurdly low. Though there may be more sales in the future (but nothing for a while), I doubt that we'll ever see those levels again.

How do you reconcile "absurdly low" with the fact that an empty seat earns not a penny for the airline and is gone forever, and if reports are to be believed the airlines are hauling plenty of them around the world in their premium cabins?
The 10% discount was for 10th anniversary of Oneworld. Somehow I can't see 11% discount for 11th anniversary.
Now you're talking. If I can just live long enough, my AONE4 will be free.

Well, yes, but the same problem can apply to any industry. The logical answer to that, of course, is to let the market determine the price (read value) of the seats at auction, or by some other bidding process i.e., the way real estate works. But that's simply not the way in which most industries work.
In my own business, for example, I set my prices, and if people want to pay, great. If they feel that I'm too expensive, they go elsewhere. While I do have some excess capacity (just like empty seats on a plane), I choose not to lower my price for other reasons. The airlines obviously feel the same way.

Thanks for the update. This means the "cheap" spots around Australia/NZ are vanishing quickly.
