One link suggestion from me. The OneWorld network map. Similar to the RTW tool but without the baggage. Great for planning.

Some people use KVS instead of ExpertFlyer. It offers both US & UK POS possibilities, so occasionally has a slight edge on EF if booking via ba.com. Support is here on FT.
