Air miles programme - Qantas and AA

Hi all.

We're flying AKL-LAX return in September with Qantas then AKL-LAX-JFK return with AA in November.

Just looking for advice on which programme to join. Qantas (although they charge) or oneworld? Which is best in terms of earning/redeeming miles, etc?

Thanks

There is no "Oneworld" frequent flyer program, only individual airline schemes, i.e. AA, Qantas etc.

Look at the "sticky" thread above, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/onewo...help-here.html - for guidance on which plan might be best for you given your overall travel habits/plans.
