Any idea when the JJ/TAM JNB-GRU service will show up on the RTW tool? Other services yet to commence, i.e. IB MAD-JNB, have been there for a while?

JJ has yet to announce its flight schedule. Nothing is showing in ExpertFlyer at the moment. (By contrast IB's flights have been scheduled and are open for bookings.)

Makes xONE3's possible via southern hemisphere. I wonder if they'll change the rules to allow it.

Yes, but AONEx still has no First cabins to JNB from Asia, Australia or Brazil.

There is nothing in the rules that prevents it - therefore it is allowed.

The real issue is that the rules state 3-continent fares are not available when originating in one of the three southern hemisphere continents.

So you can fly say JNB-GRU-SCL-SYD-JNB but it seems you will be charged for 4 continents. (I tried using the online to verify what the fare would be, but I keep getting an error message when I add the JNB-GRU segment.)

AS/VX merger approved

The US Department of Justice has cleared the way for Alaska Airlines' acquisition of Virgin America to proceed.

This has no bearing on xONEx or Circle tickets, but potentially has impact on xGLOBx tickets, in which AS is an authorized carrier.

The DoJ has instructed AS to drop "around 20" codeshare routes with AA, presumably those where VX goes head-to-head with AA, e.g. SFO-JFK etc. The list of routes isn't out yet.

Appears to be seasonal only (12/1/17 - 2/28/18), but still a nice addition! ^
