help: aa, cathay pacific, dragon air baggage allowance when all booked on aa
Hello,
Been trying to figure out what baggage allowance would be for me across flights. All these flights were booked as one package on aa.com. flying economy. Hope somebody could help answer questions.
outbound
DFW to Hong Kong using AA (2 bags up to 50 lbs)
then 1.5 hour layover
Hong Kong to Bangkok using Cathay pacific
Question:
Are bags checked all the way through from DFW to bangkok?
If so, dont have to worry about cathay pacific baggage restrictions?
If not, then have to worry about cathay pacific baggage restrictions?
When does this Most significant carrier kick in? would it be AA in this case and would that mean can do 2 bags no charge?
Inbound
Phuket to Hong Kong using Dragon Air (looks like maybe only one bag at 20kg?)
then overnight layover
Hong Kong to DFW using AA (2 bags up to 50 lbs)
Question:
Am i stuck paying if have extra baggage or 2nd bag since flying dragon air even if tickets purchased through aa.com?
When does this Most significant carrier kick in? would it be AA in this case and would that mean can do 2 bags no charge?
Thanks

Asked and answered on the AA board. Cross-posting is a no-no, so I'm closing this thread.
